Rules

In-game rules:
1. Do not spawn on the runway. Always spawn at a ramp or a gate. We also encourage you to remember your position.
2. Always follow the taxi lines when available and maintain a maximum taxi speed of 30 knots.
3. Do not collide into other players.
4. Do not spawn behind other players without their knowledge.
5. If there are any other pilots around you then please announce your actions.
6. If there is an active ATC session you are not allowed to enter the airspace with a radius of 50nm from the controlled tower without contacting the controller over teamspeak.
7. The following aircrafts are not allowed: Gliders, F-18, Extra-300 and Trike Ultralight.

Teamspeak rules:
1. A working microphone with PTT(Push to Talk) is mandatory.
2. Make sure you join the correct channels.
3. Some channels have own set of rules that are unique to them, so we encourage you to always read the channel description.
4. Do not have any sort of general chatting within the flight rooms.
5. If you have something that you need to tell someone, then we encourage you to use the Whisper function so that the other players do not get disturbed.
6. If someone requests radio silence, honor that request.
7. Check the ATC guidelines before you enter the ATC session.
8. English is the main language on this server, however you are allowed to use other languages as long as you are following the Fair Language Policy.

Hops and group flights:
1. If there is a flight leader within a group flight, then ensure you ask permission prior to joining.
2. If there is no flight leader then request a free spawn location from the other pilots within the room.
3. Always use the same departure and arrival runways as the other pilots.
4. If there are any unavoidable circumstances (e.g: You have an emergency or you do not have the charts for the specific runways) then ensure you inform the rest of the pilots.

ATC rules:
1. You have to obtain a Member badge or higher.
2. Working microphone and Push To Talk is mandatory.
3. ATC rooms are Strictly limited to ATC Transmissions ONLY.
4. Join ATC sessions only with a Valid Callsign (Example : BAW1386)
5. Join the respective channel when you enter the controlled Airspace.
6. Do not interrupt while someone is transmitting, and if you need time to respond, acknowledge the transmission of the controller and ask to stand-by.
7. Controller handles the airspace, hence obey his/her every command.

 

Guidelines

Badges

Member
Requirements

  • Register on Skyline website.
  • Be active for minimum of 3 days.

Trainee
Requirements

  • Be an active member for a minimum of 10 days.
  • Participate in 5(minimum) of the Official Flights*

Cadet
Requirements

  • Be an active member for a minimum of 21 days.
  • Participate in 15 of the Official Flights*.
  • Pass the Cadet Pilot Checkride arranged by the Flight Training Crew of Skyline.

First Officer
Requirements

Privileges

  • You may arrange Official Flights with permission of a manager(or higher)

Captain
Requirements

  • Be an active First Officer for 60 days.
  • Participate in 50 of the Official Flights*.
  • Arrange a minimum of 10 Official Flights* as a First Officer.
  • Log 100 hours on Skyline Virtual Airlines.

Privileges

  • You may arrange Official Flights* without permission from a staff member. **

Commander
Requirements

  • Be an active member of Skyline for 6 months.
  • Be an active Captain for 90 days.
  • Participate in 100 of the Official Flights*.
  • Arrange a minimum of 50 Official Flights* as a First Officer.
  • Log 100 hours on Skyline Virtual Airlines.

Privileges

  • You may arrange Official Flights* without permission from a staff member. **
  • You may log flights on Skyline Log Book for members(up to First Officer) who takes part in your Official Flights*.

 

 

 

* An Official flight is a flight that is either arranged by the staff of the Skyline, or by a First Officer/Captain/Commander under the knowledge of the Skyline Team. Please note that Skyline holds the privileges to cancel any of the Official Flights without prior notice.
** Although you do not need permission from the staff to arrange an Official Flight, you need to inform the staff for your flight to be listed as an Official Flight.
